Lenovo intends to maintain brand Medion

The Chinese computer builder Lenovo looks at the planned takeover of the Aldi Medion suppliers in the plan. “We are doing well on the road,” the manager responsible Lenovo Milko van Duijl the business daily said “Euro am Sonntag”. According to the plan, the Group intends to take over first September finish. For legal reasons we can only then get into the specific plans for
Dell inspiron 15 battery.
Medion brand is to remain
Van Duijl but gave off a commitment to the future of the brand Medion: A merger with the Idea brand, operates under the Lenovo’s consumer business was “not planned”. They would continue to serve the market with two brands. Idea is positioned at electronics stores like Media Markt, Sony vgp-bps13A/S at Aldi and Tchibo, however. This alignment would be maintained.
At the same time van Duijl pointed to changes in the existing production structure of Medion. “In the PC business size is everything,” he said. Lenovo did last year sold 32 million computers that equipped with Lenovo 3000 V100 battery, 1.3 million Medion. After the takeover would “put everything to the test, from design through manufacture to logistics and delivery time.” Then you’ll look, “what is best to implement the scale in savings.”
PC manufacturing in Sömmerda before the end?
Medion currently can manufacture its devices in the Thuringian Sommerda. In recent weeks there had been speculation on several occasions, Lenovo, HP pavilion dv3 battery could handle production of the devices now in their own hands.
The Chinese have experience with big takeovers: A few years ago they already had the ThinkPad x60s battery division of U.S. company IBM acquired. Now they want to at least 51 percent of the Medion’s share capital. In early June they had ordered the Medion shareholders 13 euros per share in cash. Company founder, majority owner and CEO Gerd Brachmann accepted the offer to a large extent on already.
