Microsoft Windows Phone 7 introduce

Posted by admin | shopping | Saturday 11 September 2010 4:24 am

Multiple sources familiar with the matter have confirmed to Pocket-lint that Microsoft will launch its new mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7, on 11 October 2010

The homescreen for Windows Phone 7 uses tiles, rather than application icons. This sets it apart from Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android OS.

Microsoft first announced at Mobile World Congress 2010 that it was creating a new mobile operating system to take on Apple and Google. Since then, the company has never announced a date for the launch of the OS, or the devices that are launching alongside it.

The news about Microsoft developing smartphones first erupted during Mobile World Congress this year, when the computer giant announced that it was developing a new mobile operating system that aims to bump heads with the likes of iOS and Google Chrome OS. It was then followed up by an announcement of a smartphone being made.

it simply has to be good to sell. Scratch that; it actually has to be nearly flawless in a world where iOS 4 and Gingerbread play. Microsoft still has a few months before it intends to get the first volley of Windows Phone 7-based products to the marketplace, but we’ve recently been provided with reference hardware — a not-for-retail Samsung called “Taylor” that’s closely modeled on the Symbian-based i8910HD — to get a feel for where they’re at as the clock ticks down. Is this shaping up to be a killer platform for the next generation of high-end smartphones? And more importantly, can it win customers? Read on for our first take.

Windows Phone 7 relies on a drop down, Android-like window shade to show when you’ve got a new SMS message, so Microsoft is already besting Apple there, and if you’re playing music in the background, you’re able to bring up your controls by tapping one of the volume buttons. Weirdly, that same area up top is used to show your signal, battery, and WiFi status, but it only drops down if you touch or swipe the upper part of the screen.

Gallery: Microsoft Kinecta: the name is confirmed, several games and video calls – E3 2010

Update 4: On the subject of games, with Kinecta we can play against up to four players simultaneously and, theoretically, no problem detection. Some titles have caused a sensation in the presentation room, they stand out above one concerning the universe ‘Star Wars’, where he has been able to see people making lightsaber fights and the use of force and a way never seen promises to be spectacular.

In addition, there have been several casual games like ‘Wii Sports’ and type pet care, fitness trainers and yoga, etc … All well with the Wii. ‘Kinecta Sports’, ‘Kinecta Your Shape’, ‘Kinecta Joy Ride’, ‘Kinecta Central Dance’ or ‘Kinectimals’ are some of those shadows that resemble both existing ones as ‘Wii Fit’ or ‘Dance Dance Revolution’.

Xbox 360 250GB hard excitedly unpacked

Posted by admin | review | Tuesday 15 June 2010 7:23 am

Of course we were not going to wait to unpack the new Xbox 360 250 GB (also known as “Slim”), and are here to show you the pictures of the required ritual.

These are some of the details that come to mind as soon we had to console in our hands:

* Has a smaller power supply (although once thought it was integrated within them).
* It is rather difficult to distinguish whether the touch buttons are on and off when too much light in the room.
* The button to open the optical drive is super fast

* The weight of the current console feels just like the previous one, but as mentioned, the power supply is smaller.

* It seems that the console is very quiet (we try to play Alan Wake). It’s hard to tell because we were in a room with many people, but it shows that Microsoft worked with emphasis on noise abatement.

* In person is even more attractive than in photos. We will not say it’s extremely different from today, but tienemuy look good.

Update: We leave you with a video of impressions after the jump
